Short version
Fieldwire is a field management app built around drawings: plan viewing, markups, tasks, punch lists, checklists and forms. Hilti owns it. It has a genuinely useful free plan for small teams, then charges per user per month.
For a small team on Pro, expect about $1,400–$6,500 a year for 3 to 10 users, depending on billing. It is excellent value if your work runs off plans and punch lists, and more than you need if the daily report is the main job.
We make Daily Site Log, a daily report tool, so we are a competitor. Figures are sourced and labelled.

How the sources compare:
| Source | Reported prices | Note |
|---|---|---|
| ERP Research (2026) | Basic free (5 users, 3 projects, 100 sheets); $39 / $64 / $89 billed annually | Specific about the free plan |
| Toolradar (verified October 2026) | $39 / $64 / $89 per user per month | Does not state the billing term |
| Capterra | $54 / $74 / $104 per user per month | Matches the monthly rates |
| Scan Manifold (2026) | Pro $54, Business $74, "monthly billing is higher" | Conflicts with the others on which rate is annual |
The sources agree on the shape: a free tier, then roughly $39–$104 per user per month across three paid plans, with a discount for paying annually. They differ by a few dollars on exact rates, so check Fieldwire's pricing page on the day you buy.
What a team actually pays
On Pro, annual billing:
| Users | Per year at ~$39/user/mo | Per year at ~$54/user/mo (monthly billing) |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | ~$1,404 | ~$1,944 |
| 5 | ~$2,340 | ~$3,240 |
| 10 | ~$4,680 | ~$6,480 |
On Business, the same 10 people cost roughly $7,080–$8,880 a year. Before you buy, ask whether people who only view plans or approve work need a full paid seat.
What you get, and who it suits
Strengths: fast plan viewing on a phone or tablet, markups pinned to the drawing, tasks and punch lists assigned to trades, checklists and forms, and sheet compare between revisions. For superintendents and foremen who live in the drawings, it is one of the best tools available.
Less suited to:
- Crews whose main paperwork is the daily report. Daily reports exist as a form on the paid plans, but they are not the centre of the product.
- Teams that grow quickly. Per-user pricing grows with every login.
- Anyone who needs a delay record built for claims, with start and end times, cause and responsible party in a structured format.
Fieldwire alternatives
| Tool | Model | Entry price | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Daily Site Log | Flat per company | $0 (1 project) · $19/mo Pro · $79/mo Business (5 seats) | Daily reports, stamped photos, delay records and sealed PDFs |
| Raken | Per user, annual, by quote | Reported ~$15–$59/user/mo (pricing guide) | Daily reports plus time cards and production tracking |
| Procore | Annual licence on volume | Thousands a year and up (pricing guide) | Larger GCs who want one platform |
| Contractor Foreman | Tiered by user count | From $49/mo (pricing guide) | Budget all-in-one for small GCs |
Plenty of teams use both kinds of tool: Fieldwire for drawings and punch lists, and a dedicated daily report for the record that goes to the client. Daily Site Log fills the report by voice, stamps photos with time and GPS, logs each delay with the responsible party, and seals the PDF so anyone can verify it was not edited. It does not show drawings or manage punch lists.

Frequently asked questions
Is Fieldwire free?
Fieldwire's Basic plan is free for up to 5 users, 3 projects and 100 sheets, with plan viewing, tasks, photos and checklists. Reports, exports and sheet compare need a paid plan.
Is Fieldwire priced per user?
Yes. Pro, Business and Business Plus are priced per user per month, so cost grows with every person who needs a full login.
Can you pay Fieldwire monthly?
Yes. Monthly billing is available at a higher rate, reported at about $54, $74 and $104 per user per month for Pro, Business and Business Plus, against about $39, $59–$64 and $89 billed annually.
Is Fieldwire cheaper than Procore?
For small teams, usually. Procore is sold on annual construction volume and typically runs into five figures a year. Fieldwire's per-user model can still add up for large teams. See our Procore pricing guide.
What is a cheaper Fieldwire alternative for daily reports?
Fieldwire is strongest on drawings, tasks and punch lists. If you mainly need daily reports, photos and a client-ready PDF, Daily Site Log is free for one project, $19 a month for Pro and $79 a month for Business with five seats, priced per company rather than per user.
