About Daily Site Log, an independent construction daily log app

Daily Site Log is a small, independent product built and run by Haseeb Sagheer, a data scientist and software engineer based in Pakistan. It exists because small contractors keep losing arguments they were right about. Not for lack of work done, but for lack of a dated record of it.

Why does it exist?

A delay claim, a back-charge, a payment held over “incomplete” work. When it comes to it, the side with the dated notes and the dated photos wins. Big firms have a site engineer whose job is that record. A ten-person contractor has a foreman who is tired at six o’clock and a camera roll with four hundred unlabelled photos.

Templates did not fix this. A Word or Excel daily report still means typing at night, formatting, and digging for photos weeks later. So most days it does not get done, and the one day it matters is the one that is missing.

Daily Site Log is a construction daily log that gets filled in because it takes two minutes from the truck. You talk, the form fills, photos are stamped, and the PDF is sealed and sent. That is the whole product. There is no scheduling module, no RFI tracker and no enterprise onboarding.

Who is it for?

Small crews with a client who expects a daily record and nobody in the office to write it. Not sure it fits? Ask.

  • Small contractors

One to twenty people, no admin, clients who expect a daily record.

  • Foremen and supervisors

Filing from the site on a phone at the end of the shift.

  • Owners and PMs

Who want to know the same evening if a site did not file.

What does it do?

Every feature serves one thing: a complete, dated, unchanged daily record. Free for one project; Pro and Business add the rest.

  • Talk through the day; AI sorts it into the report and you check it.
  • Photos taken in the app carry a time, GPS position and SHA-256 hash.
  • Submitting seals the report and builds a branded PDF you can send in one tap.
  • Anyone with the PDF can check the fingerprint against the record on /verify.
  • Reports and photos save on the phone with no signal and upload later.
Steel reinforcement cage for a concrete column on a construction site, the kind of progress that a dated daily report photo records
Column rebar before the pour. Once the concrete is in, the only proof of what was there is the dated photo.

What does it deliberately not do?

Keeping the scope small is the product decision. Everything below is a choice, not a gap.

  • No scheduling, RFIs or submittals

Those need a full project management suite. This is the daily record and nothing else, so it stays quick enough to fill in every day.

  • No per-user pricing

One flat price per company, so nobody shares a login to save money and the record shows who filed. See the plans on the pricing page.

  • No sales calls or onboarding

Sign up, add a project, file a report. Questions go to the same inbox as bugs, read by the person who builds the app.

  • No silent edits

A submitted report is sealed. Changes create a new version with a new fingerprint, and anyone with the PDF can check it.
