1. Overview
This Refund Policy explains how refund requests are handled for Daily Site Log subscriptions and paid plans. Daily Site Log is a SaaS subscription product operated at DailySiteLog.com. Payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, and their buyer terms also apply to all transactions.
2. Free Plan
Daily Site Log offers a free plan so you can evaluate the product before committing to a paid subscription. The free plan includes access to core daily report features with limited projects and reports per month. We strongly encourage you to test the product on the free plan before upgrading.
Because a free option is available, refunds are not provided for paid plans where the free plan was available to evaluate the product.
3. Subscription Billing
- Paid plans (Pro and Business) are billed monthly or annually
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period
- You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
- Canceling stops future renewals but does not automatically trigger a refund
4. Refund Eligibility
We may offer a refund if requested within 7 days of the first payment, provided there has been no excessive usage, abuse, or violation of our Terms of Service.
Refund requests may be considered eligible in the following cases:
- Accidental or duplicate charge
- A verified technical issue that prevented access to core paid features
- First-time purchase refund request submitted within the 7-day window
- A billing error on our part
5. Non-Refundable Cases
Refunds will generally not be issued for:
- Requests made after the 7-day refund window
- Heavy usage of paid features (generating many reports, bulk exports, PDF downloads)
- Change of mind after the refund window has passed
- Failure to cancel before an automatic renewal
- Violation of our Terms of Service
- Account suspension due to abuse or fraudulent activity
- Partial months — we do not offer prorated refunds for mid-cycle cancellations
6. Cancellation Policy
You can cancel your paid subscription at any time from your account settings page. Canceling your subscription:
- Stops all future automatic renewals immediately
- Keeps your paid access active until the end of the current billing period
- Does not automatically generate a refund for the current period
After cancellation, your account reverts to the free plan at the end of the billing period. Your data and reports are retained.
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact us directly with your account email, order ID or transaction reference, and the reason for your request:
Because Paddle is our Merchant of Record, you may also contact Paddle's Order Support team directly. Paddle buyers can request subscription help and refunds through Paddle's buyer support portal. Both routes are valid.
8. Refund Processing
- Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used at checkout
- Processing time depends on Paddle and your card issuer — typically 5 to 10 business days
- Partial refunds may be issued at our discretion for legitimate partial-use cases
9. Abuse Prevention
We reserve the right to decline refund requests where we detect refund abuse, fraudulent activity, or manipulative behavior — including repeated refund requests across multiple accounts or billing cycles. Accounts found abusing the refund process may be suspended.
