Verify a construction daily report
Every submitted report carries a SHA-256 fingerprint of its content, photos and signature. Enter the report number and the fingerprint printed on the PDF to confirm it matches the record that was submitted. No login is needed.
How is a daily report made tamper-evident?
When a report is submitted, Daily Site Log computes a SHA-256 hash over the report fields, every photo and the signature, and stores it with the sealed record. The same fingerprint is printed in the footer of the PDF. Change one number, one photo or one word and the hash no longer matches, which is why a match here means the document you hold is the one that was filed. The sample report shows where the fingerprint sits on the page.
What does the result mean?
Match: the PDF is unchanged since submission and the sealed record is shown below the form so you can compare figures line by line. No match: the fingerprint belongs to a different version or the document was edited; ask the sender for the original. If the fingerprint matches but the stored record does not, contact the report owner. Every plan, including Free, seals reports this way; see what each plan includes.
Daily Site Log is construction daily report software with tamper-evident records, built by one independent engineer.
