Short version
CompanyCam is the best-known photo app for contractors. In 2026 it sells three plans priced per company with a set number of users, plus a charge for each extra user:
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing (per month) | Users included | Extra user |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Core | $79 | $63 | 1–2 | $34/mo ($29 annual) |
| Crew | $149 | $119 | 3 | $34/mo ($29 annual) |
| Scale | $249 | $199 | 3 | $34/mo ($29 annual) |
| Enterprise | Quote | Quote | 50+ | Quote |
There is a 14-day free trial. Prices are from two reviews updated in September 2026, one of which says it checked every number against CompanyCam's own pricing page. Check CompanyCam's pricing page before buying; prices change.
We make Daily Site Log, a daily report app with stamped photos. We compete with CompanyCam for some contractors and not for others, and we say which below.
What each plan is for
- Core is aimed at solo operators and very small teams: photos with time and location, unlimited cloud storage, before and after, galleries, and sharing.
- Crew adds team features such as task assignment and live job tracking, with three users included.
- Scale is for multi-crew companies and adds unlimited templates and reports.
- Enterprise is quoted for large companies.
Exactly which features sit on which tier moves from time to time, and the reviews do not fully agree. Review requests, for example, are described as either part of Scale or a separate Marketing Suite add-on at around $99 a month. Ask sales before you count on a feature.
The old per-user plans you will still see
If a review lists Pro, Premium and Elite plans, it is describing CompanyCam's earlier model. A review checked in February 2026 listed:
| Old plan | Annual price | Minimum |
|---|---|---|
| Pro | $27/user/mo (about $34 monthly) | 3 users ($81/mo) |
| Premium | $43/user/mo | 3 users ($129/mo) |
| Elite | $67/user/mo | 3 users ($201/mo) |
By September 2026, two reviews showed the Core, Crew and Scale plans above instead. If you are on an old plan, ask what your renewal moves you to.
What a small crew actually pays
Worked out from the 2026 plans, annual billing, before add-ons and tax:
| Crew size | Cheapest fitting plan | Per month | Per year |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1–2 people | Core | $63 | $756 |
| 3 people | Crew | $119 | $1,428 |
| 6 people | Crew + 3 extra users | $119 + 3 × $29 = $206 | $2,472 |
On monthly billing the same crews pay $79, $149 and $251 a month ($149 + 3 × $34). If you need Scale features, add $80 a month to the Crew figures.
These are estimates from published figures, not quotes.
Where CompanyCam is worth it
To be fair to the product, it is very good at what it was built for:
- Fast, simple photo capture that crews actually use.
- Photos organised by job automatically, with time and location.
- Before and after, galleries and reports you can send to a homeowner.
- Many integrations with job management tools.
If you are a roofer, restoration company or remodeler and photos are how you sell, prove and market your work, CompanyCam is the standard for a reason.
Where it is more than you need
Reviewers raise the same points again and again:
- It is a photo tool, not a daily report. It does not give you a structured record of crew, hours, equipment, deliveries and delays for a GC or owner.
- It is an add-on. Most companies pay for it on top of their job management or scheduling software.
- Cost grows with headcount once you pass the users included in your plan.
- Some reviewers report slow support and frustration with billing and cancellation.
CompanyCam alternatives, by what you need
We compare six options in more depth in our CompanyCam alternatives guide.
| You mainly need | Look at | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Customer-facing photo galleries, marketing, before and after | CompanyCam, or other dedicated photo apps | CompanyCam from $63/mo annual |
| Site photos as evidence, inside a daily report for a GC or owner | Daily Site Log | $0 (1 project, 5 photos per report) · $19/mo Pro (up to 40 photos per report) · $79/mo Business (5 seats) |
| Photos, daily reports, time cards and production tracking | Raken (our Raken pricing guide) | Reported ~$15–$59 per user per month |
| A whole project platform | Procore (our Procore pricing guide) | Thousands a year and up |
How Daily Site Log handles photos, in plain terms:
- Photos taken in the app are stamped with the time, GPS location and project before they are saved.
- They go inside the daily report next to crew, equipment, deliveries and delays, with captions.
- The report becomes a sealed PDF, and each photo's fingerprint is part of the seal, so the client can check at dailysitelog.com/verify that nothing was swapped.
- One price per company. Five people on Business cost $79 a month in total.
What it does not do: marketing galleries, review requests, or a public portfolio of your work. If that is why you use CompanyCam, stay with CompanyCam.
For how to document a site with photos whatever tool you use, see our guide to construction photo documentation.
Before you buy or renew CompanyCam
- Which plan do I need for the features in the demo, and which are add-ons?
- How many users are included, and what does each extra one cost on my billing period?
- Monthly or annual, and what does year two cost?
- If I am on an old Pro, Premium or Elite plan, what does my renewal become?
- How do I export all photos and reports if I leave?
Prices and terms change. Figures here come from third-party reviews as of October 2026, labelled with their sources; CompanyCam's own pricing page is the authority.

Frequently asked questions
Does CompanyCam have a free plan?
No ongoing free plan is listed. There is a 14-day free trial, which reviews say does not need a credit card.
How much does CompanyCam cost per user?
On the 2026 plans, Core includes one to two users, Crew and Scale include three, and each extra user is about $34 a month, or $29 a month on annual billing. Earlier in 2026, reviews listed per-user plans from $27 per user per month annually with a three-user minimum.
Is CompanyCam cheaper billed annually?
Yes, by about 20%: Core drops from $79 to $63 a month, Crew from $149 to $119 and Scale from $249 to $199. You pay for the year up front.
Is CompanyCam worth it?
For trades where photos are the product, such as roofing, restoration and remodeling, where you share galleries with homeowners, request reviews and show before and after, it is the standard and most users like it. If you mainly need a daily record with photos for a GC or owner, you may be paying for features you will not use.
What is a cheaper alternative to CompanyCam?
It depends on why you take photos. For customer-facing galleries and marketing, other photo apps exist at similar prices. For site documentation, daily reports and delay evidence, a daily report app with stamped photos, such as Daily Site Log at $0, $19 or $79 a month per company, covers the photos and the report in one tool.
